Jaume Gispert is a pianist who started playing the piano and violin at the age of 4. He obtains the Intermediate Degree of the two instruments at the Girona Conservatory and there he begins to study Jazz and Modern Music, where he obtains the degrees of specialist in interpretation and composition (INCANOP). In 1999 he moved to Amsterdam to study at the conservatory of this city, where he graduated and did postgraduate specializing in Piano-Jazz.
On the interpretive side, he has recorded different albums, including Lift Off (Vamos Music, 2004), Back on Track (Nomada 57, 2009), Easy Times (Nomada 57, 2011), 50 on a Daily Trunk Vol.1 and Vol. 2 (Nomada 57, 2013), Jazz a l'estudi amb Jaume Gispert (TVC Disc, 2011), among others. In addition, he has played with musicians such as Tobias Klein, Bernt Nellen, François Chanut, Damien Cluzel, Charlie Green, Phil Dizack, Oz Landesberg and Janne Halonen, Vincent Mascart, André Bonnin, Christophe Fournier and Frederic Leger.
Jaume Gispert has toured countries such as the Netherlands, France, the United States and also throughout Spain. He has accompanied the Senegalese singer N'déye Fatou Tine "TITI" on her last tour of Catalonia and was one of the pianists chosen to participate in the tribute to Tete Montoliu that closed the 39th Voll-Damm Barcelona Jazz Festival.
As a teacher, he has taught at Taller de Músics ESEM as a piano and combo teacher. He has also worked at Jam Session, at the Escola de Música Moderna de Girona, at the Aula Musical de Girona or at the Rita Ferrer School in Palafurgell teaching classical and modern piano, improvisation, language, harmony and violin.
