Rosa Cedrón and The Inner Child
Rosa Cedrón recorded Tubular Bells III with Mike Oldfield in 1998. Years later, she has performed this piece with Opus One on five separate occasions.
Next Friday, October 30th, at 8:30 PM, we will premiere a video on our YouTube channel, sharing with you the 2025 version performed at the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid.
Before that, at 7:45 PM, we will go live with the Galician singer to talk about her connection to Mike Oldfield’s music.
Rosa Cedrón has a long personal history with the music of Mike Oldfield—specifically with Ommadawn. It was only when the British genius invited Luar Na Lubre to collaborate that Cedrón met him in person and began her professional singing career.
Following the recording of Tubular Bells III, Oldfield toured Europe as part of The Night of the Proms festival. While Pepsi Demacque-Crocket served as the lead vocalist for the tour, Rosa Cedrón took on that role for the concerts held in Spain.
Notably, the famous concert at Santa Cristina, in Galicia—performed before an audience of over 100,000 people—was part of this tour.
