The music of Mike Oldfield will accompany the total solar eclipse on August 12 in Palencia (Spain).
Rosa Cedrón and Rubén Álvarez will collaborate with Opus One for this grand event.
Tubular Bells, Hergest Ridge, and Ommadawn will be performed in their entirety by Opus One in what astronomers believe will be the best location in Spain to view the total solar eclipse.
Twenty-four musicians will come together to perform the complete "magic trilogy" in what is likely the most ambitious concert Opus One has ever undertaken. To our knowledge, this trio of masterpieces, in order of release, has never before been performed live with the utmost fidelity to the original recordings.
Rosa Cedrón, who collaborated with Mike Oldfield in the 90s, joins Rubén Álvarez (lead guitarist of the official tour) and Ariane Valdivié (Tubular Tribute) to participate in this event that will surely be unforgettable.

The concert will take place at the foot of the Cristo del Otero statue, one of Palencia's most iconic landmarks, before an audience of tens of thousands. It will likely begin at 8:30 p.m. (details to be confirmed) and will last two hours. Admission is free. This event will be recorded by local television and TVE (Spanish National Television).
Several national and international astronomical associations will be present at this unique and magical event.
