BIO

Born in Sabadell, he started playing the guitar at the age of nine. Later he studied at the prestigious Luthier School of Musical Arts in Barcelona with teachers Xavier Coll, Àlex Garrobé and Fernando Rodríguez.

He obtained excellent in the Professional Degree in all guitar and chamber music courses, finishing the Superior Degree in Guitar at the Oscar Esplá Superior Conservatory of Music in Alicante, also obtaining excellent in all courses.

He has received master classes from soloists of the category of Arnaldur Arnarson, Manuel Barrueco, Zorán Dukic, Iván Rijos, David Russell, Hopkinson Smith, José Tomás, Carlos Trepat, Marco Socías, etc.

 

He has performed numerous times, both as a soloist and with chamber music groups throughout Spain, France, Austria, Germany and Italy.

He has been a member of various chamber ensembles along with musicians such as Quim Ollé, Anna Puche, Ala Voronkova, Lito Iglesias, etc., or accompanying the poet Enric Casasses. He has also performed with the Barcelona Modern Project Group.

​

He has been awarded in several international competitions: First Prize and Special Jury Prize in the VI San Juan de Vilatorrada Chamber Competition in the category for under 22s. First prize in the category for people over 22 years of age in the X San Juan de Vilatorrada Chamber Competition. First second prize in the XIX City of Manresa Chamber Music Competition. Third prize in the Luys Milán International Classical Guitar Competition in Villa de la Ollería. Finalist in the III City of Vélez-Málaga International Guitar Competition. Finalist in the VII Alhambra International Competition, etc.

He has made numerous recordings on CD, among which stand out: “Lapsus: Chamber Music-Jordi Rossinyol”. "Toque de Manzana - 8 - Josep Mª Mestres-Quadreny". "Chamber Music - Anna Bofill Levi" with Barcelona Modern Project. Also a CD, together with the flutist Quim Ollé, with works by Astor Piazzolla, Toti Soler, Pedro Javier González, Toru Takemitsu and Feliu Gasull.

He has made and recorded the music for several short films and theater, such as Bodas de Sangre-Dos Mujeres by Federico García Lorca (AK-40S Company), Haz (Albert Ferran), etc., and has made recordings for Catalonia Music, Radio 2, TV3 and Spanish Television.
